Golden Axe was the first game I ever played for the Sega Genesis, and I originally played it at my babysitter's house on her husband's game system. He always played with me as Ax Battler, and as an impressionable wee girl I loved playing the badass Amazon chick Tyris. Even though it's ancient and corny and lacks glorified graphics, Golden Axe has always held a special place in my heart...it made me a gamer girl before I was even ten years old! So when a friend of mine suggested I put together a Golden Axe cosplay group for Dragon Con '07, I just couldn't refuse.
This costume was pretty easy to make since it was based off a simple swimsuit pattern. The top did take a bit of fussing with, and I did end up nabbing the underwire cups out of an old push-up bra for a base. I even made the boots myself from a pair of $2 navy heels from Goodwill and a yard of red suede. The sword took a bit of work too, but I'm very happy with how the whole thing turned out! I think what I love the most though is being able to use my own hair, and not having to wear a wig. ^_^ |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
